"BUILT BY A CARPENTER"

Hello, my name is Les Carpenter I’m an artist, writer and director. A graduate of the University of Central Florida in Orlando, Florida and former Disney artist at the Walt Disney World resort. I illustrated and instructed how to draw the Disney animated characters to guests daily at the Animation Academy at Disney’s Hollywood studios. On my birthday in June 2018, I created Carpenter Productions to produce my personal film projects. My creative endeavors turned to live action filmmaking, including directing the animated/live action music video "Princess Hair" for British singer Charlotte Campbell. My first screenplay “Shotgun & Lollipop”,  was a Top 5 finalist in the 2018 Final Draft Big Break Screenwriting contest. My first short film "Lookout Mountain", was completed Summer 2022 in which I’m currently entering into film festivals across the world. 

My love of movies has been part of my life since the first time I sat in the dark at The Crump theater in my hometown in Columbus, Indiana. I have so many stories I hope to bring to the screen someday with the Short film "Starstruck" (Hollywood Sign) and features sci-fi/monster film "Trinity" and the horror film “Don’t Blink” ready to call action.
